i can't believe biggie and tupac were only 24 and 25. i didn't realize that.

i'd say about half of these died exactly when they were asking to.

That was lame. The last 10 or so were people who died in their 50's...since when is that too young?

Jeff & Tim Buckley
Randy Rhodes
Bon Scott
Cliff Burton

I remember when my friend and I were driving around DC and they announced on the radio that Michael Hutchence had hanged himself. There was silence for five seconds, then loud laughter.

And I wholeheartedly believe that Maurice Gibb and Carl Wilson had great material ahead of them.

No Shannon Hoon either. That was kinda lame.

Or at least the dude from Sublime or something. Not 35 people that are over 50.

so many of these are extremely respected artists. goes to show that a lot of musicians should really quit at around 30 years old.

Gram Parsons & Nick Drake come to mind as two that should've been included.

Those were two of the first I thought of.

Peter Tosh is maybe another, although he was early 40's when he died
Hugh Mundell was only 21
Judee Sill was 30

Lots of others more deserving than Belushi being included on a musician list

Same with Marc Bolan.

Jesus, skip the dudes who died in their fifties and late 40's and add those above and whom Shiv mentioned too.

What about King Tubby? Was he not the greatest recording artist of his genre?
