You have him for 3 years if you want him too. Apparently because he demanded the trade, he isn't eligible for free agency when his contract expires. Sox can offer arbitration for year 3.
Rogers at $8MM isn't ridiculous at all based on performance unless you're downgrading him on character issues. I know he's old but with his style of pitching he'd probably be effective into his mid 40's.
there's a dispute on whether its 5 or 8. No one is sure yet. Anyway, Rogers would be great if the playoffs started before July 1.
