The Coldplay hatred & backlash is of near-Stapp proportions lately, but I'll probably buy the new one. Three years ago, I was a big fan. Pretty tired of the plodding nature of many of their songs at this point, but certainly don't hate them like so many others do.

Let's just hope this one gets as over-played and overrated as their first two. I once liked Coldplay and probably still would if it wasn't for hearing one of their songs in every other movie, everyone's car, everyone's house and in every store for a solid year.

I've tried to like Coldplay, but Chris Martin's lyrics always ruin it for me.

Coldplay are an excellent band, in the studio, and live. Can't wait to hear the new album.

Not really inside knowledge, but I read somewhere the other day that the new album is due in Spring 05 - so yer date there seems spot on. There was a few quotes from Chris Martin in there, too...about how being a Dad now has changed his outlook, etc.

Coldplay needs to shake the haters off. They make quality albums. Its unfortunate that people with bad taste have discovered them.

well, seeing as this is the UK amazon site, i can only venture to say they lsited the UK release. who distributes them in the US? id suggest lookign that up and then checking that site.

Just Don't Care is always a valid option. I'm never gonna knock that. I use that option a million times in a million ways.

I request the court stenographer enter into the records that I disliked Coldplay from the moment I first heard "Yellow". So no backlash for me; it's more about a little something called good taste.
