There's a link to Charts at the top of every page of Obner, for those of you who are confused and never used that.

Did you skip 15 but fill in 16? Because that's what I meant. It should work if you fill in consecutive spots.

Here's the rub: Say you have 2 bands that are 4-pointers, and a few that are 3-pointers, and on down the line, etc. Glitch. Eventually I filled in with an album I've heard a liked songs from, but have not heard entirely. Close as I could get to filling that particular point gap.

What makes an album a 4-pointer vs. a 3-pointer? How is that different from being a #3 or a #4?

Also- people who say they've voted, did you get the confirmation/thank you page, because I haven't received anything. I know it's working, because I just did a test-vote myself.

Gotcha. Thanks Haq, I see it.

Thanks, again,

Yeah, the billions we're spending on this schmoo poll aren't producing decent results.

It comes down to me, really. I haven't really put a ton of work into getting every album everyone likes (this is sorta my m.o.), so I haven't heard albums that I'm very sure are very good... andrew bird, m.m.j., etc. What I HAVE heard, I can rate according to where it should be with everything else.

For example: I have frank black's honeycomb. It's rank-worthy, but it's not a 4 or 3 pointer. I have Josh Rouse, and he is a 4-pointer. So I go through the drop-down list, see what I've heard enough to fairly rank, and I come up with like 8 or 10 albums (thus my "problem" as outlined above). I do not put my "1-point" albums in the 2 or 3 point range... that's not fair. I don't beef up mediocre albums just because I haven't heard their betters.

I'm reeeally over-thinking a stupid poll, aren't I?

Fixed! When shmoo posted the link, he did this "index.php/" - that slash was a nono. We're cool now.

You are over-thinking this. Everyone else is putting their crappy one pointers in the 2,3, & 4 point range.

I added a bunch of albums to the poll but don't think I'll be ready to rank for awhile.

Guys- please be careful not to re-add albums already on the list.

dr winston- that Magnolia Electric Co. album was already on there.

Haq - can you fix that?

OK I have three potential Top Twenty albums that were released in the US in 2004 and didn't get a UK release until 2005. What do I do with these? Do I have to exclude them?

Um... I'd say so. I'm excluding The Go! Team and Annie because they were released elsewhere in 2004 even though the US release was in 2005, so it's only fair.
