I like Runaways but the new series is less essential for me than the one that's out in tpb now.

How cool is this?

30 Days of Night, the movie

The Lurkers, the Movie

I haven't heard of Dark Country yet. Wonder what that is.

On a related note, anyone know what DC band Steve Niles was in?

I have to admit, after Punisher, I am concerned.

But I think Tom Jane could make a fine Cal McDonald type.

So has anyone picked up that Marvel Zombie thing (I'm looking directly at you shiv)? I'm kinda lost as to how it started, but watching the undead avengers tracking down magneto in order to eat him was pretty much fucking awesome.

oh and part 3 of that Steve Niles batman book comes out today.

Speaking of comics, I'm interested in unloading a good stash of spider mans. I collected in the late 80's and have most of the mcfarlane stuff, as well as a ton of web, spectacular, and other amazings.

I also don't want to have to estimate a grade for each and put them on ebay, cuz dem niggas is CRAZY. "It's graded a 9.0, but I really feel it looks every bit a 9.1" etc. whoa.

Does anyone have an interest? Detailed inventory and pics could be sent. Everything is bagged, and for that solo mcfarlane series I have like 3 copies of most of them (first 12 or 13), with some unopened in the mailing bag, etc. Coupla Hulks (he dies or something), Aquaman, etc.

Save me, obner.

I save everything. Carefully, usually. Now I'm married and live in a tiny condo, so room must be made.

I'd love nothing more than to hang on to them (and might end up doing that) but they're taking up space now, and this new place is tiny. We'll see.

My folks have informed me that I have to do something about that huge collection of GI Joe toys that I've been storing at their house forever.

Fuck. This one's gonna hurt. I'm gonna have to figure out this eBay thing b/c I'm not real interested in keeping most of it.

...Yail - you ever thought of expanding operations up north? Could be a whole new ballgame for ya.

No.

I hate the cold.

Plus the storage business is getting old for me. Time to explore some other investments.

Edit: though I can give you a deal on some space if you need to store anything down here. this goes for your mom as well.

(looks out window at swirling snowstorm) The snow plowing business is lucritive right now.

Or are you thinking more along the lines of opening up your own Coach Humphrey's Studio in your garage?

Nah. That'd be cool though.

You could yell at crappy highschool kids when their songs suck, and "accidentally" let them find your stash of hardcore barely legal pr0n.

I'd like to think that I could actually mix and master a bit better.

Plus, isnt our friend A.S. out in Sharpsburg supposed to be filling this niche?

I skimmed through it in the store last week but decided not to buy it. It seemed a little silly and jumping on the zombie bandwagon.

The best books I've read lately have been:

X-Men Deadly Genesis #1 (I have no idea who the mystery guy is)
Generation M seems pretty cool
Daredevil #79 was great with Bullseye & Elektra
New Avengers #13 (I thought the ninja was going to be Taskmaster but it was cooler that it was Echo from Daredevil)
Jack Cross is solid
The Losers (I'm bummed Clay got killed. I wonder if this series is over?)
Punisher Vs Bullseye is pretty hilarious.
Hard Time Season Two (I'm really glad DC kept this series)
Spider Man & The Black Cat by Kevin Smith (Finally!)
Superman #1 by Morrison & Quitely was decent. I liked the art more than the story though.
The Ultimates 2 #9 (WTF? Did a bunch of heroes just get killed?)
The Punisher #28 (Best last page ever)

Edit: I have like 20+ boxes full of comics at my parents house. I have no fucking idea what I'm going to do with them.

I think if there was a zombie bandwagon, people like you and I would be a lot happier, no? It's done by the guy who does the Walking Dead series (which is also awesome, but i'm waiting until the next TP to get back into it).

Jack Cross was cool, but I feel like they're just gonna keep repeating very similar plots.

the 2 books I can't ever find are Fell and Grounded, both of which I really liked the first 2 issues of but haven't seen since.

Yeah I'd be all over it. I didn't know that was the guy who was doing it. I'll have to check it out again.

Jack Cross seems kind of like 24. I don't know how many times they're going to make terrorists interesting.

Yeah, Fell is excellent so far and I like that the stories are self contained. The new Jonah Hex series seems like it's doing the same thing.

If that Punisher The Slavers storyline comes out in trade paperback I urge you to pick it up.

Anyone reading the new X-Factor series? I've always kind of liked Peter David. Seems like it has potential so far.
