Hey guys, i'm in a league with some guys around here, and after missing the draft for work i've actually crawled within a hair's grasp of getting my entrance fee back, which would be a huge success, considering what i was dealing with. however, to get it i gotta smack someone this week, and i've got some options running around my head. who to start/sit:

QB:
Steve Mcnair (Questionable, against Seattle)
Big Ben (P, at minnesota)
Chris Sims @ NE

RB:
Edge, San Diego
Larry Johnson @ NYG
Dommanick Davis questionable against Arizona
Willie Parker at Minn

any advice? I don't want to start Edge if Dungy gives up on the season this week, but i don't want to start a dinged up Davis against arizona either. The QBs are a mess.

I'd go with McNair at QB. For RBs, LJ is a no-brainer, and I'd go with D Davis if he's starting- check on that just before your lineup is due. If D Davis isn't starting, or the news doesn't look good, I'd go with Edge.

edit - I'm assuming you start 1 QB and 2 RBs...

this is what i've usually been doing and it's been working since the Bus came and took all of parker's thunder. my real conundrum is mcnair or simms as my second QB.

edge is the big ?

if my team, i'd start big ben, lj & edge. i think edge will be in long enough to score. if you're worried about edge, go with parker. they should trounce min.

I guess Simms then? man, i dunno, that's tough. both NE and Seattle are going to come with the thunder, so either QB isn't going to do great.

I disagree*, if the other teams are winning that usually means a passing game for the losing team. I'd go with McNair and Rothlesburger at QB and LJ and Davis at RB. Davis is fighting for his job next year and has really turned it up the last couple of games. He is going to play rather than risk losing his job to someone else.

*Edit: disagree with Ryan for using Simms. That guy blows.

Minnie's been doing a pretty good job of shutting down the run--ciombine that with the Bettis platoon, and I'm not that high on Willie Parker this week. McNair is playing for a bad team, I'd go with Big Ben, and Larry Johnson's been a monster recently.

Definitely. I wouldn't even consider playing Willie Parker. If Edge only plays a half, chances are he'll score at least once. I'd go with the healthy player over the questionnable one. If Davis wasn't a question mark, it would be a tougher choice. LJ is the best player in fantasy football right now.

steve mcnair AND ben? that's one unrealistic fantasy, starting TWO starting quarterbacks. might as well start 3 running backs and 7 wide receivers.
