How long do you think it will be before Modest Mouse start being referred to as a one hit wonder?

Could someone hook me up with this "other" version of "Float On." I went and bought the 7-inch because of some people talking about it being better, but it's just the album version. Anyone have it?

I'm not saying Modest Mouse was or is emo. I just remember first hearing about the band in late '98, early '99, from friends who were getting into the Deep Elm and Jade Tree vaults at the same time. Plus, don't a lot of music journos (even from the more indie-oriented mags (AP, Law of Inertia, Fader)) list This is a long drive for someone with nothing to think about (or whatever the f--- the early MM album was) as definitive emotica?
