The old 80's college dude in me wanted to be more excited by Echo & The Bunnymen and New Order releases, but they're both just very sweet and enjoyable, not "best."

Probably will spin them a lot the next few years, though.

Was looking through Tiny Mix Tapes reviews just a bit ago and realized it's not possible for me to hear everything, let alone appreciate it. There's far too much "tiny" music out there to get a handle on all of it.

I guess this makes it pretty plain that I need to hear this Herman Dune guy. And Colleen for that matter. And solo Jack Rose (I enjoy some Pelt). I haven't really given that Mountain Goats album a fair chance either, and I know I probably should. And maybe I should listen to that friend of mine who keeps insisting that the Rosebuds are a great band, and I need to hear their album. Dammit, only so many hours in a day.

Nice list.

Rosebuds are good, but their move to more mope and less powerpop kept the new one off my Top 20. Still like it a lot though.

Sad, huh? I can't decide if these bands were always lackluster and it's just my adolescent mindset that sees it differently, or what.

It's wonderful, innit? This by far was the cd I continually went back to all year.

Was on my original list, but I changed to a "only what I bought" list. It's good, I dug it a bunch. I like music out of Japan, and these ladies ain't no exception. Wasn't there some odd thing about their domestic releases? Like this was actually their 3rd album or something?
