This was the year I was born. I think it is interesting how REM released an album called "Murmur" and XTC released an album called "Mummer." I voted for the latter.

It looks like Def Leppard and XTC should replace those zeros. The former got three votes and the latter got 2.

The labels are Mercury for Def Leppard and Geffen for XTC if a mod would be so kind plzkthx 8)

I have a feeling Talking Heads would be my answer if I had the album, but the only one of these I own is "Murmur," and I can't justify voting for it.

You fool, Murmur is a great album.

Since not everybody releases an album every year, over a two year period, it's possible for quite a bit more good releases to fall in one year than the other. I think 1983 would be an example of the lull before the bounty of '84.

I'll vote Husker Du - Metal Circus

Not listed:
Blasters - Non Fiction
Madonna - S/T

If you have reservations about the cutesy, I think Jonathan Sings! is the solo one to get after 'The Modern Lovers'. And 'More Fun In The New World' stands as the real X's 4th and last good one (moment of silence).

It's my fave of theirs. It's pretty high on my Listmania.
