Beanie Sigel, Slim Thug and Young Jeezy are incredibly out of place on that list.

I hope Sytlus has the nads to add Common in the Top-10 because my #1 isn't getting enough love.

How can you say that after only seeing 50-21?

At any rate, I'm "feeling" this list more than that piece of marketing bullshit that constituted Schreiber's year end summary.

Tinymixtapes, too.

But watch, this one won't rep for Edan either.

Other than CMG, nobody has mentioed them

They also appeared in Prefix's top 50. I'm curious about them, can I get an RIYL?

So far I have to agree that the Stylus list is the best I've seen. I'll make my final judgement after seeing the top ten though. We haven't seen the following artists yet so I'm predicting the top 10 in no particular order will be:

Sufjan
MIA
Anthony and the Johnsons
Andrew Bird
Animal Collective
Bloc Party
Deerhoof
Fiona Apple
Kanye West
Sigur Ros

Just out of curiosity, what's Stylus's obsession with Girls Aloud. They rep this group so hard.

Khanate sucks! At least, their second album did -- I didn't even pick up their third one. OMG, never have a hated an album so much as that one. Trade me something for it, since you like 'em so much?

Well its Ambient, so its hard to give a RIYL without reffering to other ambient artists. I'd say its a good, easy to get into ambient album if youre not tooo familiar with the genre though.

MIA #1? Robyn #4? Wolf Parade #19? No Edan or Deerhoof to be found? F-

For the millionth time, Edan has been unfairly snubbed on just about every list. Best hip hop album that I've heard this year.

I have nothing to do at work today. I'll start writing angry e-mails to every webzine that didn't put Edan on their list. Paladisiac, you are brilliant.

it's weird that edan's album wasn't mentioned because it was hyped beyond belief when it came out by most every publication. same with CYNE

I KNOW! i was really expecting to see Edan in some top 10s. And the Stylus review called CYNE the best hip hop release of the year.
