Anybody got any good Xmas mixes out there that they can point me to or YSI/AIM?

I'm looking for whatever, doesn't matter. Well, I guess I shouldn't say that. Nothing John Teshy or Kenny G, um, ey.

Anything else would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

You gotta look for Marah's A Christmas Kind Of Town - if only for their version of "Silver Bells" (but the whole thing is a lot of fun).

And My Morning Jacket's got a Xmas album out as well (haven't heard it, though).

it's mostly traditional church tunes, like O Holy Night, We Three Kings, What Child is This, etc. Not my cup o' tea.

That is the first version of Silver Bells I've ever found to be listenable, much less likeable.

Their Pogues-without-the-tin whistle version of "Auld Lang Syne" is pretty good, too.

Turns out that I had this already.

And I just tried to listen to it and almost killed myself. I fucking HATE his voice. HATE IT!

He is my new arch-enemy. As soon as this "good will towards men" stuff ends he's goin' down. Whatever that means.

But thanks for the link Aural!

This is something I've said I'm gonna do for at least 5 years, but this year I actually started pulling CD's off the shelves.

Which means it won't be done this year, but next year for sure.

So far I have tracks from :

Cheap Trick
The Black Halos
Big Star
Jason & The Scorchers
King Diamond
Slade
Supersuckers
The Darkness
The Kinks
Material Issue
Spinal Tap
Mud
Smithereens
Run-DMC
