do any of you have this boxed set? if so, is it any good? i'm thinking about getting this for a certain someone and he's a film video producer/editor yadi yadi yah.

it's kinda pricey so i don't want to rush into buying it if it's not good.

are these all in one set or for sale individually or both?

it's a box set of all of them.... they sell it individually but i'm not sure who his favorite music video director is, so i figure why not just go with the boxed set. i figured someone on this board MUST have it, and just curious if it's any good.

I have all of the first series and they're awesome. really cool extras, depending on how much they like the directors...

I think each of those directors have some good videos to their credit, but I don't think any of them stand out to me as a revolutionary director like the first series was. If you had to pick, I'd go with vol.1. That is of course unless you have an affinity to any of those directors.

I've usually found Corbijn to be pretentious and often distracting from the songs' orginal meanings. I don't think he gives much of a shit about the lyrics in the songs and just goes with his own vision. Beautiful photography, though. Makes for great viewing, unless you're a lyrics person like me.
