Cheers for that. I see what you mean about taking days. Some great stuff to check out. Just reading hollywood pt 1.

I nearly pee'd myself when i first walked into amoeba, hollywood.

Plus the san fran store i bumped into all of the dirtbombs and literally did bump into jim diamond. I put him on the floor!

Nice set-up. I'm glad to see another acknowledgment that Pernice Brothers are more than just "sunny pop."

Gotta get that Go Kart Mozart release, too.

Caitlin Carey & Thad Cockrell — Begonias

I've seen this pop up a few times throughout the year but haven't had any luck finding it. Anyone heard this and can comment?

Whoa.

Scott Kempner Wrote:
Bruce Springsteen — Devils & Dust (Sony/BMG) The greatest American Rock'n'Roll Star of the last quarter of the 20th century is still hard at work in this century. 30 years into Bruce Springsteen's well-documented career DEVILS AND DUST finds him at the very top of his game. A subtle prevailing inner mood, dark and demanding, , it reveals itself slowly and masterfully. The melodies at first a little vague emerge and hit all the right spots to frame and illuminate the most moving stories and pure poetry of his career. These portraits and stories of "people whose souls are at risk or in crisis", often sung first person style, from inside these characters are understated, poignant, and resonant. It'll break your heart over and over. It rocks a bit, too.

Scott Kempner is a staff member of Amoeba? The Scott Kempner of the Dictators? The Del-Lords? Scott "Top Ten" Kempner?

That's awesome.

i think that one song, second option, is AWESOME, but the rest of it is just ok and a lot slower.

This is a cool site. I like that they included dvds in the list. The Ramones' End of the Century is essential for even a casual fan and that Chappelle Show dvd featuring the extra Charlie Murphy stories made me laugh harder than I have in years.

I forgot that those Dinosaur Jr albums got reissued. Must get those soon.

that dj nuts comp is fantastic although its not new. I've had it for a couple of years now. Same story with that Texas Funk comp also great but not new.

Didn't know that Rank & File had been reissued. I'll have to look for that.
