Go fuck yourself with a concrete dildo.

I'm listening to her "Hung Up" song right now courtesy of some website because it seems that every music blog I visit is hailing it as the coming of the messiah.

It, in fact, blows disco-sized chunks. And before you say, Well, what did you expect, moron? My reply to you is, "Something other than this piece of shite."

I don't know why I'm so angry about this. Holiday-fueled rage, maybe.

Carry on.

You both are smoking crack from the same pipe that surely must be wedged between Madge's saggy buttocks.

Of course it's disco. It's Abba's "Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight)." And if you hate Abba, you're a hard, hard man.

Make no mistake, ABBA I like. Madonna's retreads and obvious recycling... no, no, a thousand times NO.

And don't let me catch you checking her bum again. Gross.

Why couldn't she have died in that recent horse tumble? Please God, at least stop her from making those pitifully bad movies.

No, no, you don't want that to happen - then she becomes a legend and will achieve queen-like status amongst the masses, like Elvis.

My wife likes Madonna, so I've heard the album a couple of times. It is pretty fun. Nowhere near as bad as SP is making it out to be. It is pretty fun. Yeah, she's kind of annoying with all the Kabballah shit, but no more annoying than any other major celeb. If she can still pull off this shit at 47, more power to her. 'Hung Up' isn't up to 'Holiday' or 'Borderline' in my book, but way fucking better than 'American Life'.

Kelly Clarkson makes Madonna look like a 47 year-old, Kaballah-practicing expatriate.

"Since You've Been Gone" was the best non-rap pop single of the year.

Hmmm. ok.... it really is a good song. And speaking of rumps.... Good god Clarkson should be in a Young Jeezy video shaking dat ass. I've kind of had a crush on her since American Idol. If I were given tickets to go see her in concert, I'd go. Should this be in one of those "confession" themed threads?

I watched 'From Justin To Kelly' yesterday. Top that.

Okay, so I fast forwarded through all the musical numbers, but still. I know the basic plot. And the characters' names.

Sorry but I like it. Say what you will but the album is what it is, and I don't believe that it was ever claimed to be anything else besides a dancey fun album. It seems to me that you read or insinuated somehow that it was something completely different and therefore are bashing it. It was in my top 20 and I unapologetically support that decision.

See, that's why it's important to say more than "it sucks"/"it rules". We need to know what it sounds like -- the RIYL, as it were. I think the word "electroclash" should be bandied about, although it's not purely electroclash, it appeals to the same "guilty pleasure" part of the cortex.

Too many deep seeded prejeduces against Madonna from living through her getting big in the 80s to want to give her a chance....liked that SEX book though.

Anybody else remember that Henry Rollins poem about her?

This jibes with my general obversation that it's more the younger crowd who's merley dismissive of Madonna and the older crowd who feel strongly one way or the other about her and that it's usually based on what she used to do/be.

i dont' know what electroclash means, but the fisrt single sounds like a slightly slower trance song from 1998 (again, in a good way)
