Best: I got a iPod Nano. Oh the irony, after constantly complaining about how unreliable these things seem to be then someone goes and buys me one.

Worst: I actually got an Oscar Meyer wiener belt buckle. WTF?

worst: my brother bought me this awful lotion and soap set that smelled worse than a grandma. i appreciate the thought but then it pisses me off as well because he has made no effort to know who i am or what i like at all.

this a is funny and true story. I was probably about 13 or 14 at the time, and our parents gave us a $20 allowance (for each sibling) to buy christams gifts for each other. So I buy the brother some GI Joe's or something like that and my sister some Barbie doll + an oufit for the doll. They turned around and each bought me a pack of baseball cards. My father was pissed. we each got a card with $20 dollars in it and my Dad made them give their $20.

maybe they thought you were just covering the fact that you were bitter that you didn't have one by complaining so much about them.

Worst: My stepmother bought me some maternity clothes after I warned please don't buy me clothes, half the clothes were cute, the other half-not. Those are getting returned. Plus I'm not THAT ready for them yet. Close, but not that close.

Best: The big fluffy robe and the numerous gift cards I received. I'll be doing some shopping this week.

best: $25 i guess

worst: i guess the shirt that i probably won't wear though i'm more annoyed by the fact that my mom and stepdad didn't give me anything. i'm not rich or anything but at least i gave them something and you think since they can afford to go on cruises and trips 2 or 3 times a year they could get me a fucking gift certificate to the mall or something.

I got 1 friggin cd off my list this year and it was OK Go.

The best gift I gave was a new camera lense to my wife. She was totally excited about it. Since the flowers didn't get me any, I think the lense might. ;) go figure.

Best. I don't know. There were a lot I loved. I guess my Edward Gorey calendar because it was one of the few that wasn't on my list and I really need a calendar and I'd never even seen it before.

Worst. Um.. the grandparents bought me some flannel pyjama things. Old man pyjamas that have a button up shirt with moose and trees on it. I don't get it.

I haven't exchanged with everyone yet, but the DVD recorder is pretty sweet.

I'm with DayStar, I like everything I received.

Even though I usually don't have anything to worry about because I check around with other people before buying a gift for someone, I hate looking at people's faces as they open up a gift I gave them and trying to figure out if they're faking their liking of it.

The most awkward moment in the world is hearing one of those "Oh!.....Oh wow....I could really use this....uh.....thanks........."

That's why I don't take chances with gifts.

best: a letter from my dad. he's amazing. i can only hope that if i have kids, i love them as much as he loves me.

worst: nothing. even the most nonsensical gifts are appreciated. i guess i'd complain if i received piles and piles of gifts each year and one didn't seem to match my personality or whatever, but i don't. i get a few things from some close family members and friends and like them all.

Best: gf got me a fucking SIGNED RALPH STEADMAN PRINT. Holy shit! Already hung on the wall in my office.

Worst: None really, though my brother & his wife/kids got me an XM receiver that between the subscription and my insatiable appetite for accessories will end up costing me money, but no matter---I'm willing to give this satelite radio thing a one year try.

Best: pretty much all of them - lots of CDs and DVDs from my list.

Worst: I'm having a hard time calling this "the worst" because she meant well, but my mother-in-law picked up the Talking Heads' Stop Making Sense and Elvis Costello's Very Best Of on CD. Why worst? I already own SMS on CD and own all the Costello albums, so I don't need the best of. It took me a few minutes to figure out how I got these, but I then remembered that I'd asked for SMS on DVD (I've never seen it!) and Costello's The Right Spectacle DVD, which is subtitled "The Very Best of Elvis Costello," and she must have gotten confused when she found those titles in the CD section. Oh well - like I said, it's hard to call it "the worst."

Cool! Tell me what you think when you you've listened for a while.

Although my gut feeling is you'll be pretty meh about it. Hopefully not though.
