I was so disappointed by the Beck that he's lucky it made it onto my list at all. If I wasn't even more disappointed by Bright Eyes #2, he might not have.

The Madonna I've only heard because they play it at work. I might be being a bit generous because anything sandwiched between Black Eyed Peas and Gwen Stefani is bound to sound great, but it is a pretty good pop album.

And the Petra Haden blew me away. Only album I've bought in a long time where, as soon as it ended, I pressed play and listened to it the whole way through again.

This made my list as well. I think its a really good pop record, and you always get great production on Madonna albums. Its just a well put together album that I feel like people aren't giving a chance because of the oversaturation of the single.

I'm a huge Timony fan as well, but this release wasn't her best. It felt slightly rushed, and just didn't do it for me. I have been listening to it a little bit more than when I first bought it, but still needs to grow on me.

actually, by looking at these lists [minus a few], it looks like people don't have much time to search for anything different than what they read about in magazines.

not taking shots, just sayin'.

what? I thought everyone loved that Strokes album.

I'm menatally leafing through my potential listmakers and the only things that are coming to mind is that Duke Spirit album (if that's even this year) and the latest Fall disc (which has been on steady listen since sat. and creeping in).

Tangiers record was a top 25 for me. Not sure how it stacks up against the first record, I honestly thought this was their debut. It's cool and jangly and kind of weird indie pop.
