The model is MZ-E909. It ISN'T a recordable one, so I guess you need a mini-disc player/recorder as well. I was cleaning out my closet and found it.
If not, maybe it'll go on Ebay with all the other junk. As far as I know it works perfectly. Holla.

It might be NetMD accessible, so you use Sony's program to move stuff from yr cds/mp3s/etc to the disc. Actually, I still use this for gym work. They are hardy little things.

I really don't know much about it. I had a recorder here that was hooked up to my cd player and that is how I put music on the mini-disc.
Cool at the time, but just fucking obselete now. Though I do know people use recordable players to tape shows. The price isn't free, but I'd trade it for a cd or two. (originals)

I probably could, but I didn't intend on it. You interested? I know it's obviously a Sony unit and probably from like '98 or so?

I would be. I want a shelf unit. I still use my MD portable and recorders. A shelf unit would be dandy. PM me with the model # and what you would want.

It would be silly for someone to get it who doesn't have a way to record discs. The only way you could get music would be to have someone (like me) to record music for you onto a bunch of MDs. It wouldn't be very cost-effective, because you'd be paying almost $2 per blank disc (cheapest I've seen is $1.69, plus shipping). You'd be better off just buying a CD Walkman.

It would make more sense for someone who already owns a stand-alone unit to get the portable. Not me, I already have 2.

Just sayin'.
