That's pretty interesting. But I have to think that if you are a person who is into music and buys enough music to quantify this, then you probably have one already, or don't want one. Just my thought process. I mean sure I have 175 cds I would part with, but then again, I also have $400 for an Ipod, and if I wanted one, I would've already gotten one. I will be interested if anyone does go through with this though.

I don't have money for an ipod, but if I found a ton of cds for a dollar or less then that would make this deal worth it.

Exactly, thats why you can't go in and buy $1 cds. It says plainly that they won't take promos, or cds that probably won't see. So put away those 15 copies of the Grindspoon promo cd, and even that Jeff Bridges cd. They probably will only take it if they know they can move it. I would imagine too that if you are going to send some used cd, you should change the jewel case as well to make it look like you paid full for it.

You're not getting much of a deal here - about $2.28/CD by my calculations. You can probably get cash locally for more than that, or sell 'em on Amazon/Half/Ebay/etc. Maybe it'll be slower, but unless you're just desperately drooling for and Ipod and absolutely can't front yourself the cash, this is kind of a stupid deal.

This is the stupidest "deal" I've ever heard of. By the time you find 175 CDs to buy in stores/that you want to part with AND pay to ship them you could have bought 490382 ipods.

You aren't going to find CDs cheaper than a dollar, and by the time you find 175 of them, that's already half of an Ipod (not that you'd find 175 dollar cds anyway). By the time you ship those CDs, that's another $25 at LEAST. Is it really worth all that time and effort to get an ipod at less than half off?
