You aren't going to find CDs cheaper than a dollar, and by the time you find 175 of them, that's already half of an Ipod (not that you'd find 175 dollar cds anyway). By the time you ship those CDs, that's another $25 at LEAST. Is it really worth all that time and effort to get an ipod at less than half off?

this would be ideal for someone who ALREADY HAS 175 cds in their possession.....that they don't want anymore. ....just gathering dust.

$2.28 per CD is a joke. I generally get about $4 or more (store credit, usually) for CDs when I trade them in to stores, and I didn't even think that was such a good deal. I'm just too lazy to try to sell stuff for more.

However, the Tower here in Atlanta has a bin full of shit for $.25 if anybody really wants to try this.
