Well, nine years is a long time in to be comfortable telling your formerly favorite person to go fuck themself, but I'll burn that bridge when I come to it. I just hope she gets counseling for herself at some point, as she obviously has issues to work through. I don't know that I'd be able to take her back after all of this shit, but I'm always going to want the best for her.

I really doubt that she'll ever ask me to take her back. I just can't believe how dysfunctionally she did everything, and I don't know if we'll be amicable again. But I'm not giving up her family, they're just about as dear to me as my own.

This is a nice thought but not likely true unless you accept a simple answer that your wife isn't as kind, caring and unselfish as you thought she was as "it all making sense". But what is true is that one day you'll care a whole hell of a lot less than you do now that you don't have all the answers.

Transitioning from wanting to know how and why this happened to not caring why it happened and just knowing both in your head and your heart that you deserve to be treated better is the hardest step you'll take. You'll get there though.
