And I just ordered Mary Gauthier based on the #2 showing and high praise from a few boarders. If I'm thinking correctly someone (Bloor?) had recommended her in singer/songwriter thread I started a month or so ago too.

Turns out it was Rick Derris. I hope that new Gauthier album is good. I've got 99's Drag Queens In Limousines and it's quite excellent (in a dyke-goes-traditionalist-country/folk kinda way), but the albums after that got too slick and too bland in a hurry. Maybe Mercy Now is a much-needed return to form.
