i dunno, it can be intimidating. It can do a lot, but there are some simpler programs out there.

I've been using it for almost seven years though and am pretty comfortable with it.

my ex and i used quickbooks, too. good stuff.

make sure to save your files, though. like on a disc or something. we didn't and lost an entire year's worth of info when our computer got a virus. don't be stupid like us.

Yeah, I do a backup to my external every time I run payroll (twice a month) and to CD-R once a month; I lost some info once and f-ing went ballistic.

my dad does a combination of botch computerized and manual bookkeeping. he's kinda old school, and he thinks doing it manually gives you the best accuracy.

i should rephrase.

i'm not really a small buisness owner. I'm a freelancer and only have to deal with doing jobs and making sure i send out invoices.

i think quickbooks is more than i need. Or will it do cool things i'm not even aware of that i will grow to love?

May I suggest moving away from a nation that requires difficult tax-paying... I hate math.

miss all y'all, just too busy these days.

Had Ann Richards in the restaurant tonight. Been too f*cking busy to breathe. Sucks but I'm crying all the way to the bank, I guess.

If you aren't trying to keep company accounting books but just track reimburseable expenses and hours, I'd just use excel for tracking and then build an invoice template in word for actual invoicing.

I've used QB alot for small business accounting but it sounds like its much more than you'd need. Keep it simple if you can.

and i had been using excel and word for invoicing.
