say someone is trying to attach an album via ysi to send to another.

the file which holds the album.....has two sub files. the album in question and another.

how come.....when someone is trying to upload the file, they can't get the entire folder to upload. they are only given the option to upload the album...song by song?

that just doesn't seem right. what is this someone doing wrong?

You can't upload folders, only individual files, but WinZip® will fulfill all of your needs and desires.

is it normal for an upload to ysi to take FOREVER? (like.... 7 minutes or so? and counting.)

Depends on how big your file is.

Totally normal. It says it can take up to a minute a megabyte or something. I usually send 250-300 MB in about 20 minutes, I think.

Winrar isn't free after 30 days, or did they change it.
