sure. i can expand....
first, i'll tell you what i liked:
i liked the way it was filmed. hand-helds mostly. (maybe all....but i can't remember.)
some of the shots were downright artisitic.
i liked that the film was set in australia. something different.
what i didn't like:
not enough character development.
i didn't care one damn bit about any of the characters. (something that's important to me.)
there really wasn't anything special about the story. pretty boring. pretty typical.
car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. seemingly nice man stops to help a group of 'kids'.
seemingly nice man ends up being a deranged killer and after tieing them up and torturing them....
ends up chasing them off into the night. hunts down and kills them.
it was just a big snoozefest. people were leaving the theater left and right.
my friends wanted to leave as well. but, i can't do that....so we stayed.
How much did they play up the "this is a true story" aspect? Yeah I get what you are saying. The storyline seemed rather like 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre" but I hoped that it would deviate somewhat. Sad sad. Well, perhaps I will take in either Narnia or Munich tonight then.
