it's hashbrowns, macaroni salad, 2 cheeseburgers
absolutely smothered in a spicy meaty sauce. (the sauce is much like cincinnati recipe chili. but spicier. not as sweet/cinnamony).

omg. i wish i didn't even find that picture. rochester is 5 hours from me. and i want one SO BAD.

Good god! It looks kind of like poutin. I think that's how you spell it. Chips with gravy and cheese curds.

yeah, looks like a real artery clogger. No thanks. I would think it's tantamount to eating one of those frozen Hungry Man dinners, in terms of fat, cholesterol, and sodium.

There is a diner on Irving Park (in Chicago) that is open 24 hours that serves something just like this called "The Slinger"
The sign says that if you have to ask what is in it, you shouldn't order it.
Then they have a cartoon of a dude sitting on the toilet or running to it, I can't remember with a caption that says "Slingiarrhea"

Edit: I usually just get eggs or a sandwich because I am afraid.

I love greasy spoon type food but that looks awful. I'd probably enjoy eating it though. Tuna fish salad on wheat from home today.

Looks-wise it kind of reminds me of a "Horseshoe" which is apparently Central Illinois thing(my wife is from Springfield) but honestly this sounds like it would taste better. A "Horseshoe" basically consists of a sandwhich on white bread/bun of your choice(I don't think there is an official ingredient, I've seen them with hamburger, sliced beef, or boneless buffalo wings(my fave)). They then cover the plate in crinkle cut fries and then smother the whole thing in Cheddar Cheese sauce....honestly the cheese can get to be a bit much, but I figure it is safe to have one every couple of years or so when we go back to visit.

Day Star, when and why are you going to Rochester? From the east or west? as many people know, i live in syracuse. as many people do not know, my brother lives in rochester. he went to RIT and ate at Nick's everyday for 4 years. he's not too fat or unhealthy looking. i had the garbage plate and didn't really care for it. i was starving at the time even so i ate it even when i didn't want to. we went there after my brother's bachelor party. i think it was around 2am. the place is about the size of a regular greasy-food dive, and there was probably 50 people in there, with another 20 or so around the counter and spilling out the door. at 2am. anyway, if you're craving it go for it, but i don't recommend anyone going out of there way for it.
