Did i miss this when i checked out all the lists. In my top 10. Such a wicked album.

Or were people not impressed?

i was so let down by the last one that I didn't even bother looking at this one. Is it any good?

Was Four Tet on anyone's list? I was kinda of surprised that it seems to be missing entirely from that list. Not that I voted for it...

Dude! Really.

Agree with cotton that the previous one was poor but they really restored the faith. Full of real anthems.

I remember reading some interview with them where they promised they were back "for real" and that this was the "best album yet", but that usually means the exact opposite of that.

True.

I guess considering it failed to make a lot of 2005 lists that people agree with the D. But hell i love it.

Wow, I really liked The Remote Part. Not as much as 100 Broken Windows, and the middle section was a little unmemorable, but solid beginning and ending block of songs. Different style than the first one with more of that REM meets U2 feel, but still strong songs, and at least the REM part was always a big part of their sound.

Haven't heard the latest, and you're right that it didn't seem to get much love, but one of the guys at Shaking Through really liked it and had it at #2 behind only Z.

Thats interesting. My nephew is a huge idlewild fan and he hates the latest one too. I really liked "hope is important" but the rest, nah. Maybe i should have another listen.

I haven't bought an Idlewild CD since 100 Broken Windows.

Haven't heard the latest, though.

The latest has grown on me....but it still is a step in the wrong direction, as least to me.

One of the biggest letdowns from one of the most promising bands of the past few years.

I enjoyed the most recent album, though, I doubt that I'd list it as Top 10.
