You ought to listen to that Love Spit Love one more time -- I remember it being really good for pop music.

I'll try to listen to Crowded House, & Ikara Colt before trading them. Hum I've given lots of listens to including recently. Its not horrible, but I don't really like it all that much either and am sure I won't miss it. If I'm wrong, both are always available for under $3 on half.com.

Here's more:

The Anniversary/Superdrag Split
Tears for Fears "Raoul and the Kings of Spain"
Teddy Thompson S/T
Thrush Hermit "Sweet Homewrecker"
Sheila Nicholls "Wake"
The Parkinsons "A Long Way to Nowhere"
The Dandy Warhols "Come Down"
59 Times the Pain "End of the Millenium"
The Candyskins "Death of a Minor TV Celebrity"
Blackalicious "Blazing Arrow"

Any thoughts on batch #2?

If Billy doesn't like them now, I doubt he's going to have a big change of heart because of this thread. Dump 'em all, and start with the awful "You'd Prefer An Astronaut."

I really haven't given this much of a chance so maybe I should. I'm sure I've listened to it less than 5 times since i bought it a few years ago. When I initially started buying rap/hip hop cds a few years ago, I probably overbought because I find myself not listening to many of them that often. So my thought on getting rid of this was more do I need to own as many rap/hip hop cds as I do (which I think the answer is no) and if not is this one of the lesser ones that I do own. I'm guessing it is.

I wouldn't call it awful but I appreciate the backup. And the Hum cds are the ones I feel surest about getting rid of them because I have given them spins recently to make sure I wanted to trade them.

I probably should just dump 'em all as you say but really none of these are things that I think are bad. They've all just gotten lost in the collection and I'm wondering if I would ever get around to listening to any of them again. So I can be talked in to giving a few a 2nd chance. I just don't want to spend a lot of time listening to all of these to make sure I don't want to keep them.

Heh...I just listened to these 2 in the last few days. I can bring a Discman-type CD player to my new job, & I've been listening to all kinds of stuff I hadn't heard in forever.

you won't get a dime for hillside by arnold -- i know, i've tried. and while i haven't listened to it in years, every time i do, i am pleasently surprised by how good at least 1/2 the songs are.

I'm sure I'm going to get shit for this, but I actually like a good bit of this album. I'm a sucker for Roland's voice, what can I say?

Crowded House, Tears for Fear (v2) . . . I must be getting old. Ten years ago you couldn't pry Mr. Bungle's Disco Volante out of my CD player. Today I can't remember the last time I even had an urge to listen to it.

If I were forced to cut my CD collection to 30 or so discs, this would definitely be kept.
