Bowie-Heathen
Bowie-Dream Anthology
Anniversay-Your Majesty
Elastica-Radio 1 Sessions

Take into acct that these are $1.99 each with $2.79 s&h(gr)

so basically $5 each. A few facts...I really dig Elastica's album. I love Bowie but haven't been excited about his latest albums, although Dream Anthologies would be 60s stuff. Lemme know. Thanks.

Take the plunge on "Heathen" and "Your Majesty" for sure.
That Anniversary CD is good throughout, but "The Siren Sings" and "Husam Husam" are KILLER tracks. Me likey.

Heathen is excellent, IMO. However, I'm one of the rare people who are NOT particularly big fans of old Bowie, if that makes a difference. But definitely worth $5 total, if you ask me, for the drawn-out payoff of "Sunday" and sublime "5:15 The Angels Have Gone."

That Anniversary CD isn't worth 5 bucks. It's waiting for you in $1 clearance bins all over the continent.

So, recommended if you were in an emo [sic] band in '97, '98, but then fucked it all up, and shit, in the aughts by getting way into qaaludes when the rest of the scene was taking up cocaine?

Dare to be different, I say.

Bowie-Deram Anthology

Yecch! Overly-precious Tony Newley/music hall/fairies-and-pixies gack! If you love Sammy Davis Jr.'s version of Candy Man, you might like this album.

Okay, maybe it's not that bad, but I still hate it.

If you want quality '60s Bowie, look for a copy of the Rhino compilation Early On, which collects all his early (1964-1966) R&B-ish singles (most recorded with early Kinks/Who/Creation producer Shel Talmy) back when he was still David Jones. Much better than anything on the Deram Anthology.

I like that Anniversary album.

I just yanked it out a couple weeks back after not listening to it for forever.

Go for it.
