I really don't want to miss Stern's first show. But I don't want to buy a radio for it. Isn't is possible to listen online? I can't seem to find a way to sign up online without being forced to buy a receiver.

Yeah I tried to listen online like a month ago and I think you need the receiver.

I'm listening to his first show now. They're playing the Pat O'Brien tapes uncensored and a bunch of song parodies of him.

Comcast has Stern OnDemand, which at some point (I don't know about today) is supposed to have daily show updates.

in addition to stern.....i am also a big fan of the station - left of center (indie music).

their online stream is fair - the quality is not the best...

yeah - it appears that you have to activate a receiver...i would call their customer service.

Stern shows will be up on torrent sites the next day i'm sure.

Here's a good source: http://www.mininova.org/search/?search=howard%20stern

you can get the On Demand videos there as well.

i'm thinking about Sirius as well though.

Just installed my wife's unit yesterday. I'm almost sure she's not listening to Stern today. Surprisingly, the sound quality was good.

I saw this in Best Buy's ad yesterday, this is both satellite and i-pod ready. I think I want this.

Internet streaming is only 34K, and Howard isn't available (yet).
My receiver has an FM transmitter, so I can listen to it in every room anyway.

These are the big 11 revelations, which for the next 5 days everyone will try to figure out who's belongs to who...The results will be revealed next Monday.

Howard repeated all of the revelations that they revealed earlier in the show.

I cheated on my wife and she caught me.

I once hid in a bathroom closet and pleasured myself as my family members went to the bathroom.

In the last year I got a girl pregnant and had to pay for her abortion.

I think I'm addicted to porn, I jerk off twice a day and prefer to masturbate, rather than having real sex.

I have spent well over $10,000 on internet porn.

My buddy and I once ordered massage girls but they ripped us off and left us staring at each other in our underwear.

I have pleasured myself with meat and vegetables.

I have a half sister I have never met and don't want to.
I've had cosmetic surgery.

I guy once blew his load on my chest.

I once had my stomach pumped for alcohol poisoning and when I woke up in the hospital, an acquaintance of the same sex was fondling me.

Those are all going to be hard to guess. Sal and Richard seem to be the obvious porn ones, but they could easily be the guy in the closet.

Are you guys who work in normal offices nervous about listening to this at work?

I'm enjoying XM btw. Since I've never had Stern to listen to, I don't feel like I'm missing out now in the least.

I say Robin is the plastic surgery one.

I wonder if Howard will admit to coloring his hair.

Sirius' competitor, XM, offers MLB games; on the other hand, Sirius provides full NFL coverage.

I don't know about the NBA, NCAA, or whatever other sports-related acronyms there exist in the world.

Sirius has NCAA games, inclding the entire BCS bowls games this year. It was nice. as was the NFL games.

I've been enjoying the new Coffee House station about as much as the Indie rock station, and sirius disorder can be pretty quality too.

is stern that funny? i have never in my life, or at least since i was watching his show when i was 13 on that WGN or whatever NYC cable station, ever heard of anyone saying "did you hear what happened on stern today?". i can't imagine getting sattelite radio for it. although i might get sattellite for a cavalcade of other reasons anyway.
