I got this idea last night when I was listening to
Flamin' Groovies - Groovies' Greatest Grooves

"Shake Some Action" was playing and I thought:
man, wouldn't Paper Airplane Pilots do a killer version of this?

Also:
Belleville covering "She" by Gram Parsons

And I really want Hop On Pop to do a noisy, shoegazer version of The Byrds' "Here Without You".

Listening to "Toxic" now and digging it.
Excellent work!

On 'screwed', I think you need to add a couple Lil Jon "yeeeahhh's" into it and your golden.

But, according to your own signature, shouldn't the song also have al-Qaeda and titties? Maybe a Middle Eastern backing, like R Kelly's "Thoia Thong", and siliconic hair-metal sluts, like Warrant's "Cherry Pie" video?

I'd like to hear Belleville work its magic on:

"Then Came The Last Days Of May" (Blue Oyster Cult)
"Turn Around" (The Beau Brummels)
"Debris" (The Faces)
"Clown & Bard" (Geoff Berner)

That particular track fits well with what I've heard of The Bon Savants. It's on the first Devo album (the one produced by Eno, if that unveils the mystery a little...). You want me to e-mail you an mp3 of it? I may be way off, but then again, I may not.

My little band does a ripping cover of U-Mass. Well, it rips until the end, when we sort of forget how it goes.

i think it was kind of dumb of me to offer up a cover song to a band that i really haven't seen live. i plan on changing that on 1/29...
