Did anyone else think she sounds like Stevie Nicks?

That's actually a dude on lead vocals, Greg Gilbert is the singer. Hard to believe, eh?

That'll teach me. Googled him.... looks like Mia Farrow.

And they were complaining about the singer of Placebo. But I guess sounding fey and sounding like Stevie Nicks really are very different.

I initially thought it was a female lead as well. He really hits those notes and yeah, does sounds like Stevie a bit.

hahaha! you're not alone Harry. my coworker said "man, she really can hit those high notes!", after he heard the first album from the Delays.

Dalen, what did you think of the album? I thought it was a great follow up to Faded Seaside Glamour. To me it was beginning to sound a bit 80s at first (not always a bad thing, at least to me) but then it settled in to sound like a fuller sounding album than their debut. I still need a couple of more listens though. It's such a summery album though, it's hard to hear when everything is covered in ice.

very summery, and agree, it's taken a few listens to get into. slightly poppier as well (Valentine), which is alright with me. the songs are strong, and i dig the electronic elements. it does have a very full and spacious sound. more so than their debut.

"Sink LIke A Stone", "Too Much In Your Life", and "Hideaway" are just killing me.

there's something about their sound that i just love.
