P.M. Dawn - "Art Deco Halos"
http://rapidshare.de/files/10917932/Art ... s.mp3.html

Lifts the guitar riff from "Mambo Sun" and creates a whole new, and amazing song.

Yeah, I'm addicted to sharing music.
Even though nobody really listens.
Hope you don't mind.

Aren't P.M. Dawn a Christian band?

Yeah, I'm gonna have to give this a listen. Hey, did you ever hear that suite of covers and samples from P.M. Dawn that closes their nice Jesus Wept album from 1995? It combines Prince's 1999, Talking Heads' Once In A Lifetime, and a version of Harry Nilsson's Coconut morphed with samples of Three Dog Night's Mama Told Me Not To Come (by Randy Newman). Fun stuff.

Wait there, is this the 'daisy age' P. M. Dawn of the very early 90's?

This is from 1998.

But yeah, PM Dawn are insanely underrated and I need more.

No.

I bought their first 2 albums but stopped after that. I remember my fav song by them was "Plastic."

but i think they're religious enough to where it slips out into their music/lyrix occasionally.

They definitely have a strong spiritual slant. I won't deny that.

I'm sorry; I tried to dig this and it just falls flat. I'm glad I didn't read the Christian stuff first so I at least had neutral ears, but a nice big meh.

edit - Nothing against Christians, of course, but I fucking hate almost any music that has a religious bent to it.

I did mention here that I saw Tommy "Wildfire" Rich at the Post Office like a year ago, right?

It would have been cool if when I walked outside he was getting into like an old beater Oldsmobile with Mr. Wrestling #2.

Get outta here, man! You saw Tommy Rich?! That's fucking cool as hell, better in scenario number 2 though. Buzz Sawyer would have been awesome as well.

Yeah, everybody in the PO totally knew him and everything---I guess he lives nearby( this was down in Hampton not near my crib). His voice is REALLY raspy.

If I saw Buzz Sawyer (or Kevin Sullivan for that matter), I would either go into the fetal position and give them my wallet or RUN and pray that they have bad hips.

Huh. That's funny, I've been describing the new Goldfrapp as "Marc Bolan finally reincarnates into a woman and steals Madonna's first producer".

I'm gonna take a listen.
