oh rest assured that we watched it. i think that nick got the benefit of the doubt, them not wanting to cast him off for santino being a dick, and santino has to challenges under his belt, so that's gotta count for something, but marla and diana were dead weight. i could also do without the black lady and kara too, they suck. and emmet sucks. but chloe and andre are probably my favorites in terms of their designs.

I just thought that Michael hit Alt-Tab to get to the blank screen (or probably more accurate, Windows+D). Works for me at work.

When I saw it last night I was certain there was some imagery or order within the smoke, but since I don't have a pvr or tivo I couldn't be certain. I figured the obsessives would have screenshots up by today anyway.

I did, and we rewound to watch it again. Those screen grabs aren't the best quality, but the images were definitely from Eko's past in the show.

Also, when the camera panned through the smoke, I kinda thought for a sec that the smoke was moving through Eko. It apparently wasn't, cuz the next shot just showed them face to "face".

watching it now it occurs to me that that intelligence is probably Walt. can't he do magic tricks and sleight of hand stuff? i think that he's keeping other people from seeing his communications, other than mike, thus freeing michael from violating the instructions to not use to computer to contact others or for purposes other than the codes.

When Jack walked in, you could see a bit of the counter, and it either said "04" or "004". If the countdown was approaching 4 minutes, the screen could have cleared itself so the code could be entered. The countdown might have been approaching 40 minutes, though.
