Here's a track from it, and info...

Prefuse 73 & Four Tet - Creating Cyclical Headaches

Guillermo Scott Herren returns with the new mini-album, 'Security Screenings', released on 6th February 2006.

Inspired by the disillusioning experiences encountered whilst promoting Surrounded by Silence, Security Screenings continues the evolution of Herren’s Prefuse alias into one of the most versatile and visionary post-hip-hop producers in the world.

A more intricate and instrumental offering than it's full-length predecessor, it includes the long-awaited collaborations with Keiran Hebdan (aka Four Tet) and Babatunde Adebimpe of TV On The Radio as well as the type of synth-destroying antics that slayed fans in the first place.

As Prefuse states:

“It’s a collection of songs based on reactions to certain things that happened through the course of doing press, touring, and recording for the past year or so. It's not a follow up to Surrounded By Silence, but merely a transition between the last album and what's to come, the next one is to be completely different all together.”

“God bless airport security in America and the countries that are a part of the "Coalition of the Willing."

I got this the other day and have only given it a brief listen. I want to go home and check out the Tunde track though.

Also, how is this a mini-album? I seem to remember a fairly substantial running time, in addition to the fact that there are 17 tracks.

I listened to this for the first time last night and was fairly pleased. Much better than Surrounded By Silence which in my opinion was the biggest disappointment of last year. In general the guy amazes me. I've been deconstructing/restructuring records for about five years now and still can not even come close to grasping some of the things this guy does.
