Apparently they aren't calling holding penalties today.

Keep in mind, I really dislike the NFL.

But c'mon, now. The Panthers are pretty XFL:

I think the Seahawks are about to take over this game.

This one's getting ugly. The Skins are being sunk by injuries on their line, the same thing that wrecked their season last year.

one thing is clear: the bears or panthers will represent the NFC in the super bowl.

I don't doubt that they could have gone with a better logo with better lettering, but it's just a dumb reason to want a team to lose. As is the Trent Dilfer comment.

I'll take it.

To lose your top player and NFL MVP and a key cornerback in the 1st quarter and still cover a large spread (+9), not bad.

Let's hope the Bears do their part tomorrow.

Why?

Why is that any less credible than wanting a team to win because they are from my town or have a flashy QB?

I want the Redskins to lose every game based on their name alone.

I want the Ravens to lose every game because they stole a team for Cleveland after crying for 20 years about having a team stolen from them.

I mean, it sure sounds so much better to start harping about meaningless special teams minutia, but that's generally just cover for someone not willing to admit they think the Patriots will beat the Jaguars because they have cooler uniforms or some other emotional attachment.

Sorry for cutting through all the SportsTalk Radio cliches like a team's record in the playoffs over the past 25 years at home (as if they are using the same personnel).

Those reasons just seem so arbitrary and uninformed, but then again, you did state that you hate the NFL.

Oh yeah, I forgot arbitrary and uniformed aren't allowed in SportsTalk.

On second thought, the Trent Dilfer isn't all that uninformed, since it draws a distinct parallel between the 2005 Bears and the 2000 Ravens Super Bowl squad.
