The Beatles are great.

Ask an ordinary member of the public what his/her favourite Beatles track is and they will say 'She Loves You' or 'Let It Be' or 'Hey Jude'

Ask me and I will say 'Happiness Is A Warm Gun' or 'Tomorrow Never Knows' or 'Rain' and on hearing this the ordinary member of the public will say one of two things

a) "What do they go like?"

or

b) "Oh...I didn't like their weird stuff".

I skipped most of the Iggy/Stooges parts of Please Kill Me.

You actually skipped reading about them too? Their stories in Please Kill Me are seriously degenerate. I can't believe that Ig lived through all that. Talk about jail. Sick, sick, sick.

There's a fine line between peanut butter and polynesian sauce/catsup/soup on your chest. I think you're just afraid to find out that somebody outmonged you.

Dear Lord, please forgive me for my first and only use of ATL-speak. OMG LOL!!!11!

I was thinking of challenging bikers to fights during your show and getting your ass kicked, rolling around in broken glass, the insane drug use. Stuff like that. The peanut butter was just funny.

Like shooting fish in a barrel. A barrell you assembled to shoot fish from, so people would say "that guy sure can shoot some fish." They seem way too designed to "freak out the squares," and I find it trite and boring.

I just dont get this. How is this any different from The Stones or the New York Dolls then? You could argue that for them too. The Stones' image is just as self conscious as the Stooges then - the bad boy posturing to set themselves apart from the Beatles originally and all.

Don't you get it? It's really quite simple, apparently. David Bowie, in some Promethean feat stole punk rock from the Beatles and Lou Reed and bestowed it on the Sex Pistols. It's all so obvious in Dr. Robert.

I knew you'd see it my way.

Oh and The Stones and The Dolls back it up with good movie. You know, style and substance, not some revisionist history wherein they took a bunch of shit and a skinny dude with a huge cock and 'invented' a genre whole-hog.

Yeah, all I had to do was shotgun a 24 oz. can of Redneck brand Dumbass, and it made perfect sense.

Enough already.

Had to drag the South into it, eh, Billz. Makes lot of sense, though. When you can't think of anything to say, call them a redneck cuz you know they're from the South. And put some friggin' Smurfs in your avatar. Bwah.

I'm sorry, would it have been better if I had used "Faux-ghetto White Boy brand Dumbass"?

The south doesn't have a monopoly on rednecks, btw.

most assuredly not, but I'm fairly sure that's why the term was used in that case. not to speak for Loog, but I think that the faux-ghetto that Billz speaks of is more often than not satirical instead of a stance. correct me if I'm wrong. once again, write it off to cultural experience.
