The guy put up 21 points on the #3 ranked defense this year, with 6 quarters of play under his belt. What more did you want the fucking guy to do?

Completly inexcusable to score 21 and lose. Rivera must still be smarting from not getting the GB job... how he lets one player gain almost 300 total yards is a fucking joke.

Hey Marco,

Where is Spade with his obligatory "Seahawks can't win a playoff game comment"?? Look who didn't win the playoff game guys, it wasn't the team you were expecting. I like the Seahawks chances at home next week, despite how well Carolina is playing.....we certainly can't turn the ball over 3 times though.

I'm gonna have to root for the Steelers.

I think he was whining about something during SuperBowl 38. I might be thinking about Freddie Mitchell from last year though. Actually, the only team I don't want to win is the Steelers.

Go Broncos.
My only hope in my playoff pool is if they beat Seattle!

Yeah, the Bears contingent is conspicuously quiet tonight---drowning their sorrows I suppose.

I like our chances too, but Carolina is playing very well---I could see it going either way. If Alexander is 100% and we can avoid the TO's, I give Seattle a pretty good shot to get to the Bowl. Of course it would help matters if Peppers doesn't play. Looks like Foster is out for certain.

Go Hawks. :rawr:

Believe me, I can see it going either way as well - Alexander definitely needs to establish himself and perform in a Playoff game for once - As good as Carolina has been against the Run, I think that they aren't quite as big and physical as the Redskins were - I just see them as being quicker - this may help Alexander as he may not have to worry quite as much about getting killed out there the way he was yesterday.
I've read that Peppers is probable at this point - so that might not be in our favor, but Sean Locklear has done admirably all year against some other Pro-Bowl DE's so I hope that he can contain him.

The Seahawks will have no chance unless they double Smith. Why any team wouldn't is crazy to begin with. They have NO ONE else but him... is it that big of a mystery?

Drives me crazy that Rivera refused to alter his game plan for the second half.

I'd say that the Panthers have better 2nd and 3rd receivers than the Redskins did, but you are right - Smith needs to be the focus......I don't think that we will honestly play Smith that differently than we did Santana Moss......Smith is definitely more talented than Moss, but they are similar in ways.....hopefully we are able to assess what we did wrong in our breakdowns on Moss and go from there. The Seahawks defense is very underrated, but we did give up a LOT of yardage throught the air this year......here's hoping that our bend but don't break defense is able to hold up to the Panther's onslaught.

Foster has a broken ankle, and Peppers is probable as of right now. I'm comfortable with Goings as RB, but I did like the 1-2 punch of the quicker Foster with the between the tackles Goings. I look for a big play or two from Drew Carter next week. Admittedly, I don't really know anything about Seattle besides Alexander and the fact that Locklear played for my alma mater.
