I think Randy is THE best lefty of my generation (sorry Tommy), but look what the guy did last year when his team refused to trade him -- he folded up. Nice valentine Gigantore; Javier Vazquez is a hella talent to trade but i get the feeling he is a guy who may never have been able to handle NY. (see Jason Schmidt in ATL etc)

Actually, Jason (who i think is one of the top 5 pitchers in the N.L. btw) has said that he would have never made it as a big league pitcher in atlanta--- some guys benefitted from the advice of those guys, but some guys could not handle the pressure/glaring eyes of, lets face it, some fucking anal-retentive assholes (Glavine, Avery), Jesus-based, anger freaks (Smoltz) and out and out cheaters (Maddox).

Plus they all shoot scratch golf---YOU COULD'NT WIN WITH THESE FUCKERS! I i understand where guys like Schmidt come from.

The latter day success of Atlanta has hinged upon Leo's ability to take "scrap heap" guys and make them whole again (Mike Remlinger, Chris Hammond, John Burkett, Jared Wright, etc, etc) These guys then all go on to get huge contracts with other teams.
