I am not a huge basketball fan, but since Nebraska is doing pretty decent so far, I will handle this like I did CFB Bowl game projections.

The Obner schools and their perspective opponents in round one:
UCLA, four seed versus Murray State in San Diego
Wisconsin, Two seed versus Wright State at Auburn Hills
Maryland, six seed versus Creighton at Dayton
Washington, four seed versus LA Tech in San Diego, UDUB being seeded in the Minneapolis region with Maryland
Nebraska, twelve seed versus West Virginia in San Diego, would play the winner of Washington/LA Tech if they actually won a first round game.
Texas, two seed versus UC Irvine in Dallas
LSU, seven seed versus Air Force in Dallas, play winner of Texas/UC Irvine
If anyone wants a school added to this list, tell me, I forget some of the Obner schools from football or do not know the schools that really sucked at football this year/I-AA during that season.

Spartan (Mich. State) grad here.
If you say anything lower than a 3 seed, you're nutz!

The 'Cuse v. Uconn tonight. Should be a good game.

Hopefully we'll see plenty of this tonight.

Michigan State is indeed a three seed in the Minneapolis regional, they would play Valparaiso in Dayton and then face the winner of Maryland/Creighton

Connecticut is the number one seed in the Oakland region, they would play in Philly for the first two rounds. They are currently matched against Elon
Syracuse is a three seed in the Atlanta region they would play Pennsylvania in Greensboro.

Being a Hawks and UGA fan I haven't had a team in the mix for anything for a while now.

I will say that if UGA can go 8-8 in the SEC and win 1 or 2 games in the SEC tourney they will be a bubble team but won't get in.

That being said, we make the tourney next year. I believe in coach Dennis Felton that much. He's building a program over there and players are starting to come in.

NC State is a projected 4 seed in the latest Bracketology versus Winthrop. Currently the #14 team in the nation in both polls.

7 projected teams from the ACC, and that doesn't even include Miami, who beat UNC on the road this past weekend and has really good guardplay.

I was going to say sorry, but considering my team is on the bad side of a route, I can't say much.

I too tend to support KU in basketball since we in Nebraska could really careless how we do as long as we beat the Jayhawks at home. If it wasn't such a major college sport, I'd say Nebraska should drop it and throw more money to Baseball, Volleyball and Football.
Kansas is projected to be one of the last four teams left out, along with fellow Big 12 team K-State
I tend to think the Big 12 will get about five teams in, but no more than that. It is a mediocre year where a usually .500 level Nebraska team is currently tied for first and basically has to win every remaining home game to clinch a bid.

UCLA has had injury problems all year..... 4-5 of their top ten players are injured now... hard to know how far they will go this year

But they are all underclassmen, and next year, if they stay healthy, UCLA is a final four team.

This year is all about Duke.

yeah, don't overlook miami. their 3 guards were on fire a couple weeks ago vs. maryland. 60 or 70% from 3, i believe.

Didn't Nova just lose to Texas who was down a few players? Pitt is looking good, so is Florida, I had no idea both were still unbeaten like freaking Duke.

We'll see after tomorrow night. RU took Nova to OT, and they've got Pitt at the RAC on Wed. RU was 22 of 25 from the line on Sunday, and they're leading the Big East from the line. The Pitt/Depaul game showed that Pitt can be had.

Syracuse looked awful last night.

The Big East is easily the best conference in the NCAA this year.

yes.

It's easy to have 8 or more tournament teams when you have 38 in your conference.
