This is the first time I've ever listened to it all the way through (it's on my record player, which of course has no remote; I am on my couch and, of course, am lazy), and I want it to stop now.

After listening to "Petra Haden Sings The Who Sell Out," I really wanna do an a capella cover of "Revolution 9."

"Eldorado."

Ever listend to a vinyl version of Sonic Youth's Evol
It truly never ends. Don't mess with it when Owsleying

Or the Butthole Surfer's "Sweat Loaf" for that matter.

That was the main one, but Revolution 9 and Sexie Sadie were also a couple of his favourites.

manson thought revolution 9 referred to 'revelations' in the bible and prophesized (his believe) that the black man will rise up to overtake the white man. the revolution.
(he also believed that 'blackbird' was about this as well.)

that's it. I haven't read Helter Skelter is a long time but I knew it was something like that. Isn't the word 'Rise' in R9 and that was why they scribbled it on the wall?

yes. it's in blackbird too.

you were only waiting for this moment to 'arise'.

manson often used the term 'rise' when preaching to the family.

actually, a couple more songs too.....

honey pie
manson believed the beatles thought manson to be jesus christ. and that they wanted to come join the family but they were lazy. 'i'm in love but i'm lazy'

i will
manson believed this was a message from the beatles telling him
he should make an album so that his followers could find him. 'your song will fill the air, sing it loud so i can hear you'

i think there are others. but it's been a while since i read about it all.

Charlie gave those dudes more credit for clever than was due.

As much as I respect the Beatles, sometimes they were just singing whatever goofy lyrics they thought of that day. No DHM to be found.

Not their best brew, but those Vermont boys make some decent beers.
