I personally think they go rather nicely with dresses and skirts, more of the casual sort than anything, but I like them a lot. I've been wanting them for a while, but I can't decide if i'd look like a nazi, or plain stupid with them. I'd wear them with very long jeans or skirts/dresses. I don't know. I'm tired of converse and pointy toed pumps.
I need a change in my life.
Opinions?

Go for it. You'll have fun in them now and for the next few years, and you'll have something in 20 years to look back upon and wonder what in the hell you were thinking.

I prefer the oxblood over black though.

My impression as well. It's like they should be worn with flannel.

I'll third that. Though isnt it about time for an early 90's comeback? I've got my long johns with shorts and boots ready to go.

5 see you rockin this, I brain you son.

Those boots are terrible from a 'style' standpoint, unless you have the confidence to pull em off...or the pit hair.

And the fact that some of you think these qualify as "Fuck Me Boots" pretty well proves my theory that the majority here are shut ins,

meh. there are way cuter boots than those. i feel docs are kinda out of date.

Plus, I think girls who wear them with skirts or dresses look dumb.

Opinions aside, who cares what other people think, CP, you're the one who's gonna wear 'em not us.

You're asking a bunch of old farts for fashion advice. We ain't cool no' mo' (and quite a few never were).

I guarantee people here have some incriminating apparel lurking in the back of their closet that ain't half as bad as some big ass Docs.

FESS UP: Who here has some old Cross Colours or Z. Cavaricci pants with the two belts?

I used to wear the lower mid-rise boots like those in the late 80s/early 90s.... you know with black tights, blue jean cutoff shorts and my oversized black turtleneck. It looked cool at the time, but I probably wouldn't wear them these days. However, as Aural has said, if YOU like them, then YOU should wear them!

my junior prom date wore boots very similar to the originally posted pair with a green dress. she looked really good. and my stepmother was horrified.

and yeah, fuck-me boots are more along the lines of what blb posted. the heel and pointed toe make them. and this is coming from someone who has many friends who wear them (either because they're a girl or a cross-dresser), but has abstained from it himself because there's no way he could pull it off. shopping with them is educational in its own way.

Knee-high docs = "I'm mad at my dad. And I might blow you later."

I know you're not and you probably won't, but the docs will still say you are.
