No matter how late I stay up (usually 'til around 3am) I never wake up past 8am, and I usually see the sunrise. Can't take naps during the day either. Used to take prescription sleep meds, but I still woke up as early, just feeling fucked up out of my head. The funny thing is that it doesn't seem to bother me that much. I rarely feel tired during the day, and I've no problem staying up way late and partying. I probably have a brain tumor or something.

Yeah, but that's 20-30 years of TV that you'll be missing. There's got to be a few good shows on that you'd miss if you were dead.

I've not had a TV for 5 years!

i'm a 7-8 hr/night type of gal but i usually i get 5-6. the past few nights have been really rough though because i've been going through a lot and having anxiety attacks in the middle of the night. so no matter how tired i am, i can't fall asleep.

but whatever, that's what the weekends are for. don't ever wake me up before noon on the weekends.

I definitely need more than 6 hours of sleep. I'm also going to sleep a lot earlier these days. I'm now in bed by 11:30 when in my "younger" days, I could stay up until 3:00 in the morning.

It sucks getting old.

At least 5 hours of sleep a night, prefer 7.

Other reasons might include their wit, generosity, and overall quality as human beings, but I guess their preferred hours of sleep are equally positive traits.

what the heck is going on in peoples lives that they only get 5 hours/night?

assuming the earliest you gotta get up is 6, why are you going to sleep at 1?

<---7-8 hours mandatory/night

I was going to ask the same question, but then I figured it might be a sensitive subject. After all, you know the old saying "A Scotsman a nae teats wha hae".

I worry that I'd turn conservative if I got less than 7-9. Isn't that what happened to Maggie? Do any of you non-sleepers feel Republican/Tory tendencies coming on? How are you going to merge that with your other sterling qualities?

Is that 'Shit' as in 'That ain't nothing..." or 'Shit' as in 'You write too much'?

Shit, as in, 'I think I already know the answer to that question, and I think I write more than that'. So, both.
