How many times are they gonna do this? Are they really grabbing that many new viewers to justify it?

That was real good, I thought. Started with a lot of potential, slowed down, but finished well. I like the focus being on Locke, Jack, Sawyer and Kate. Otherwise, sometimes it can be too diffuse. Backstory (aka Jackstory) was a little superfluous, a little irrelevant, but whatever.

Disagree, lackluster episode. As usual nothing really happens and they only hint at what could happen.

I thought it was okay. I'm not a big fan of Jack so his back stories are never exciting for me. We get that he's a control freak who can't let go of things, there's not need to keep hammering it home. It was good to see the Others. Next week doesn't seem terribly exciting though, but I'm sure there'll be more to it.

I'm sure he's looking her up in the Yellow Pages as we speak.

Jack's wife leaving story was surprisingly like my wife leaving me, except I didn't get to kiss anybody and it was grad school rather than a hospital, and I was writing a big grant proposal rather than performing a 7 hour surgery.

Still, weird.

"We ain't done yet, Zeke" will be the basis of a plotline down the road. Cool.

I don't think I liked this episode much, despite the fact that stuff actually happened. Maybe it was the backstory.

"This is our island" and "putting your feet up on our table" doesn't cut it when it was the Others who abducted the crash survivors. They were the aggressors, not the beach group. Also "they're fine, don't you worry" doesn't wash considering they shot Sawyer and set the boat on fire. I think the Others are afraid of something and will kill to keep whatever that something is from happening.

I think Michael and Sawyer are both going to kick ass in future episodes.

Regarding the comment about "openning doors", do they not like that they're in the hatch? If not, why do they not do something about it?

This army thing will hopefully be worth watching.

That ending quote was badass. And they met the chief Other. What more can you ask for?

Why do you people keep watching the show if you're always so disappointed with it?

Has it been explained where the electricity in the hatch comes from? My friend asked me about this tonight and I didn't have an answer...I guess I either missed the explanation or it's still a mystery within the show.

yeah, even weirder is knowing that my wife was probably watching this episode with her "boyfriend." I hope she was uncomfortable.

It's endlessly frustrating that the characters will never ask the obvious questions (say, for instance, Jack to Other: "Well if you don't want us here on your island, wouldja mind telling us how to get the fuck off?") or ever tell anybody else what they know ("Hey gang, gather around--we just talked to the Others and they took all our guns! And one of them was the hairy guy on the boat who took Walt! Wait, did we forget to tell you they took Walt?").

Regardless, I'm still enjoying it.

Even weirder would be if she was posting about it on some message board. Like CMJ.
