Please help me. I'm trying to figure out who is going with me to check out this show at the Metropolitan, and i'm also trying to book a hotel in the near future and get my bus/train tickets depending on which I am going to take.
For the New Yorkers and those who frequent the state, what are some decent, not incredible but not disgusting at all, cheap (under 100 dollars or around that area) hotels near the Metropolitan Museum?
I really need some help, because I looked some up and the pictures looked nice, but who would put up shitty pictures of their place? Nobody.

Oh yeah, I need ones that allow a 17 or 18 year old to check in.

i stayed in some really brutal place on the upper westside near the natural history museum. there are a lot of other cheap places up there - but pretty sketchy - which I didn't mind as I was out of the hotel almost all the time.

Yeah I don't plan on being in the hotel until I feel like going to bed, or until i'm almost out of money.
I just need something cheap because I pretty much don't have any money.

Not to be condescending, but isnt it hard to get a decent hotel room at your age?

I'd implore an older friend to help you or you will be staying at the Cum Stain Inn.

some places would rather you be 21 (or 25); just sayin, though you seem intelligent enough to pull something off.

if I was 18 I could stay in a hostel.
I'm not, though. and I have to go before April for this show.
67 fucking pieces of Rauschenbergs work. I am so excited.

I don't care if it's not "nice" just so long as there aren't shit stains in the bathtub, the sheets are clean, there aren't any animals living in the room with me.. I think that covers it. As long as it's clean i'm okay. It does not need to look nice or have a comfortable bed or a television that works. Running water, toilet, and just somewhere clean to sleep. That's all I want.

Unless you plan on staying at a youth hostel - you are not going to find a decent hotel in NYC for $100.

A good, hip new hotel in Midtown is the QT which is fairly cheap at about $200 a night -

I stay in a decent two and a half star hotel in London (right on Piccadilly Circus) for £50 a night. That's less than $100.

I'm glad I don't have a passport now.

best western treated me fine the last time I needed a hotel room in NY. I was 17 at the time and it was reasonable/clean.

cool, best western considers 17 year olds kids thus I stay free with an adult. The cheapest rate i've found is 219 though. I don't know.

If you have a check card, or a credit card, go to expedia or some travel site (i think i used to use travelocity) and look for a hotel room. You can get a hotel that's just fine, right by MSG for like $89/night + tax...

I think I stayed at the Hotel Pennsylvania a few years ago.

5 girls, 2 nights at 200 apiece, only $80....

Trust me when I say that NY Hotels is something that you gotta spend a little extra on...NOT worth it to save a small amount, in your case $30-40 overall

Best Western is 219. I think we may go that route. Do you think they will require IDs to see who is under 18, or will just need an ID of the person checking in? There will be two 17 year olds and three 18 year olds if all goes as planned, but we don't want to spend the extra 25 to pay the fee for an extra 18 year old staying over, so we're going to pretend we're all kids with one adult. Will that work?

Say room for two, only need one ID. Others should wait outside. After you have keys, go out, bring stuff in, have other people go through side entrance, or if big enough just walk past. Do not let it be known that there are 5 of you, and do not play the 'kids' card
