I am doing absolutely nothing this weekend. Except working 4 hours on Saturday, and maybe going to buy a washer and dryer for the first time in my life.

we actually have a very good relationship.
sometimes i just get tired of hearing them whine and complain but that's what they do.
that's what we all did and you never appreciate how hard your parents worked to take care of you until you have your own kids.

that said, i'm off.

my daughter and her friends saw it and loved it.
my son isn't interested in seeing it.
maybe it's the gay thing but it's a love story and i know at 13 he has no interest in seeing a love story.

you don't want to get high with your kids until they're at last halfway through college. i have far too much experience in this. Not my parents. That's a whole other story.

I'm going thrift store shopping tomorrow, and I'm trying to avoid drinking tomorrow night, but I probably will.

Now: I'm drunk and planning on drinking more, probably throw on a movie or something and reading some books, recommended by a Senator.

Tomorrow: Same as above, I have zero plans.

Tonight: jetting out in an hour to see Them Vs. Them downtown. TRYING to get home before the snow starts flying around midnight, but the pub is decent that could change.

Sat: Laundry, cleaning my damn apartment, getting oil changed. listening to (title withheld) to do my blurb for the shmoo poll.

Sun: writing my column for next week, plus another story. I'm told there are two pigskin contests of some consequence on the tee vee, so I shall watch them.

I went three days without drinking, but then I started thinking to myself, "Hmm, Friday night seems like a good night for a six pack."

First one cracks in about an hour and a half.

Tonight: Hanging out with my date from last night, as well as a couple of our other friends - don't know what'll happen, but I hope something does. No pressure.

Tomorrow: Tonight's crew will double in size as we celebrate two birthdays. Major partying. Much less likely for anything romantic to happen, because I KNOW that folks are going to harrass the hell out of us for hooking up in the first place. Ah, nothing like old friends to tease and tease, but then ask you for every juicy detail afterwards.

Sunday: Catch up on schoolwork.

I'm going to be drinking tonight now, my girlfriend is going to a Country bar with a friend, so I don't feel like sitting at home alone all night.

Tonight: Vegetation. Señor Six is on a shoot till late so I'm on a date with myself tonight. Made myself a curry. Might take a nice long bath. Might mix up something with rum in it. Might watch a DVD I rented.

...either that or spend the whole night chatting with you clowns.

other days: Alls I knows is I have to SERIOUSLY clean up my room.

Is this really a band name, or are you going to watch a gang fight?

You gonna post a link to the column....and trust me, if you get to write a column, you have made the right choice to stay in the Land of MCBreed!!

I am sofa king jealous.

It's a band. Check out this week's Onion AV CLub - they've got three tracks posted and they're pretty fepping good. Couple o' the guys are from a Chi-town trio called Oh My God that I love but are maligned by the Windy City Obs for no good reason I can discern.

I forgot to tell that Breed had a show here on New Years Eve but it was at a club that is BEYOND JAIL. Same place where a dude got stabbed in the neck w/ a broken beer bottle during a Ying Yang Twins show that I was reviewing.

My column's not terribly local. It's called "What The...?" and is just me riffing for a couple paragraphs on a few topics each week that I find to be remarkably incredible and/or stupid. Sometimes political. Sometimes Hollywood. Sometimes something else completely. PM me w/ your email and I can send you some old ones.

Is it even worth projecting a Steelers's pratfall? I've had them losing two weeks now, and they've won handily each of those.

But, Cowher - such a douche. I can't wait 'til the skeletons in his closet start churning.... And, by that, I mean, he's a loyal Republican soldier, a "values" man at that, and like his fellow footballer Chmura*, the man is going to fall. Hard. Maybe not a statch, but, still....

*Like Cowher, Chmura was (is?) a mega-dittohead. Now, Chewy, of course, took it to the next level: he snubbed Bill Clinton when the Ol' Boy did a campaign swing by Packers training-camp in late summer '96, citing Bill's contemptible personal life, but not even four years later, the Chew was at a post-prom party (age at time: 28 ) and fondling sixteen years olds. Plus, it was not uncommon for both Chmura and Favre to be "politely" escorted from the premises at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay due to, shall we say, overexuberance at the drink-cart.
