What are your thoughts on this album?

I LOVE it and this is usually stuff that I hate but it's so fucking additive that I play it over and over and over again. "Chewing Gum," "No Easy Love" and "Anniemal" are sheer brilliance and made me a happy boy in 2005.

"Come on Annie, tell us your trick.
On how you keep on getting boys to stick?
Okay, I'll tell you but I'll never look back
It's my selection; it's the pick of the pack.
My heart's the maker of the chewing machine.
It makse me smile and it keeps my teeth clean."

Edit: My number 2 album of 2005.

haha

That is the point of this thread, to see if it's hipster approved yet.

I was very shocked that they are now playing it all over the XM indie show now. I went to Virgin Megastore tonight to see if I could buy it but couldn't find it. I finally asked, I said "Do you have Annie, she is from Sweden" and they told me to look in the World section. haha, it was not there. I then asked at the counter and they said it was under dance, though it was on sale I still thought $14.99 was a bit much and will wait until I make a trip to Amoeba to actually buy it.

I dig it. I thought Kylie Minogue's album was better, but I still enjoyed it.

It was fun in 2004. Don't think I heard it in 2005.

i saw annie twice in 2005. i like the singles, but the show dissuaded me from getting anniemal. the robyn singles from 2005 were good, but i didn't hear the whole album. now, come and get it is what you should be talking about. that has at least 4 good singles, one bordering on great. yet i rarely see chatter for rachel stevens on this board.

Anniemal is a perfect pop album. I don't know how she could possibly top it.

I got something off you Thursday night via the seek but it was the same demo’s I already had. Now I have the full Arctic Monkey album if you are interested a bit different than the Boardwalk thing.

Robyn is Red hot.

I did a search on Obner before I posted this and not one thread on Annie either. Anyways Annie reminds me of Blondie and of course Abba. Robyn reminds me of Prince and the confidence Madonna had when she first came out. I will check out Rachel Stevens because this is working for me right now and was in IL*’s top 20 as well, thanks Z.

What the hell is wrong with me, I usually hate my Pop self.

Rachel Stevens did one or two tracks with Richard X so you should at least check those ones out. If you look in your booklet for Anniemal, you'll notice that Mr. X did some tracks for Annie as well.

Annimal's great, but I've sort of overplayed it and am looking to get Utada's Exodus. Have you heard "The Workout"? Totally Hollaback Girl meets Hyperballad.

Officially hipster approved.
