Sour Mash whiskey just doesn't hold up against Bourbon. Beam has been a staple for me since I was 17.

However, it's pricier and the high cost you pay of drinking there is the owner playing his own music off his i-pod, usually some sort of Eurotrash house music that makes me want to eat my own ears. However, when I need a "girlie" drink, I found that Doc M, Cherry Pucker and Dr. Pepper make that Cherry-Vanilla Dr. Pepper they have on the market right now.

ames, huh? what a nice little college town. i've only been to a bar out there called welch. pretty cool for a sportsbar.

I never go to Welch except during the Winter and Summer breaks. Otherwise, I can't justify standing in line, paying more for drinks, and having to stand up the whole time I'm out. I usually spend more time down on Main Street, where I know some frat-o isn't gonna put something weird in my drink.

I don't generally drink liquors, but when I do it's gin first (for utility), good scotch second.

darrin, if you want to send me a present, i like laphroaig, the macallan, knockando, oban . . .

currently, it's all about the home-brewed beer. come the new year, i think i will put up some mead & wine. fun stuff.

I prefer any and all Tennessee whiskey (that is whisky made in TENNESSEE) to bourbon.

Jack Daniels is pretty much the only liquor I drink. I fucking love the stuff. I would rather drink a JD & Sprite/7UP than any other libation.

Each time I've been in Scotland I've had to laugh when I walk into a pub. The most popular whiskey? Jack Daniels. In a country where the finest whiskeys are distilled, JD is the whiskey of preference. I don't get it.

I was off JD for awhile but then I had some mixed with ginger ale....good stuff but not enough to make me spend $ on it. If I am going that route it has to be a little bit more pricey.

I personally prefer Beam, but as anybody who follows this board knows--i ain't real picky. And as anybody who drinks with me knows, I am not the kind of person who sticks to a particular brand/type of booze (keeps the barkeeps on their toes).

Except vodka and red wine.

For bourbon it's JD or Wild Turkey.
For rye it's Gibson's Finest (12 year old - or, if I'm feeling particularly flush, 18 year old).
For scotch it's Macallan's (or, really, any non-peaty single malt).
For Irish whiskey it's Bushmill's.

Can we run Saxby out of office, replacing him with you, then depose Harry Reid as Minority Lead, also replacing him with you, and lastly have you drown out the President's next State of the Union by leading a rowdy chorus of "Ima start a riot in dis bitch", all the while 'Crunk Juice' sploshing from your bejeweled goblet?

I haven't had any whiskey for a long, long time. I'm more of an imports and micros beer guy.

However I am drinking up the bottle of rum sitting on my cupboard. Any love for rum and cokes?

Whatwhat? Happy, Haqdiesel?

Jack isn't sweet. Southern Comfort is sweet. Jim Beam is sweet. Jack is put-hairs-on-your-chest not-sweet.

which I fucking love but it's like $85. a bottle in this part of the world. But JD does have a similar smokey, slightly nutty quality to its flavour.

I think Saxby's here for a while, my good man...Georgia has taken a particularly ugly turn for the Republican side...although a Benny in 2008 campaign might be just the thing to re-turn the tide. The only problem is, he doesn't like call time, so money's gonna be tight.

this is some seriously good stuff, I bought it for a client and we nearly split the bottle on one occasion. I owe him another for Christmas so we can drink some more of it.

Sucks for me; then again I don't believe I have quite the gluttony for liquor monsieur Richards had at the time. [Hypnotic Suggestion:Do not pay attention to the above Scotch undertaking]
