I had to choose Wolf Eyes in the Shmoo Poll (because LSF wouldn't count), but Les Savy Fav was my *actual* # 20.

this is just to see if we are paying attention right???

"Connection", Crowd Control", & "Nothing" are fucking awesome, concise tracks. "A Song I Heard The Ocean Sing" is tedious but does a kick ass job of approximating the loopy jams of latter era Phish. Its all around a pretty a-ok dude.

Round Room sucks with the exception of "Mexican Cousin" which is ok by me anytime.

dude.

Young Prayer at #1? Charalambides? Surprised to see someone here list those. (I like both of those a lot, but probably wouldn't put them in my top 20.)

Ghost is in my top 10, I think, as is Mike Ladd. Nice list.

Didn't shmoo say he'd count anything? Inches was conceived as an album in advance, and it contains a decent amount of new material (at least 4 songs, right?). I'm pretty sure I'm going to count it. Wolf Eyes probably isn't going to crack my top 20 even though I still dig it a lot.

I am quite surprised that Interpol is only on 5 lists. I don't know if its going to be on mine, but still I am surprised. Also pleasantly surprised to see how much love Drive By Truckers is getting.

Yeah.."A Natural Disaster" is un-fucking believable. I wish more people had heard this. RIYL- Radiohead, Opeth, Trail Of Dead, Massive Attack, Pink Floyd, Katatonia. In A Blender. On Puree.

Yes, I'll count whatever you vote for, Kind Of Blue, Pet Sounds, Loveless, whatever.

This brings up a good point. How does the drop-down list bias the results? Hmmm...

Annoyed with myself for leaving Destroyer off my list. Something else will have to drop to 21, I think. Probably Wilco. There's so many others that are good this year, too, but dozens of ties would be a bad thing to do to shmoo.
