darrin, if you want to send me a present, i like laphroaig, the macallan, knockando, oban . . .

Jesus, you and my husband should meet... he home brews and loves single malts, specifically Oban (which for whatever reason, has been hard to come by in Oregon lately) and Macallan. We got some Glenmorangie 18 year sherrywood in the Caribbean for some crazy cheap price, like $35. I must ask though... is Laphroaig better as it ages? I had some 12 year at a bar a couple of years ago, and we joked that it tasted like an Ace bandage.

too bad we didn't discover this fact before my wife and i left eugene! oh well, we miss the northwest enough to know now that we'll probably move back.

i also like biking a lot, but i'm nowhere near as hardcore as you.

Laphroaig is good if you enjoy getting your dose of iodine and peat smoke in jigger-sized packages. it's as simple as that, i guess.
