I started listening to my copy of Rusty by Rodan this weekend for the first time in at least three years. I think that album sounds so much better now then when I originally bought it.
I don't know how many other people on here have this record, since I don't ever read a whole lot about June of 44, The Rachels or Shipping News.
I think I originally bought it because of a friend of mine from the DC area suggested it after they found out I had so many early 90's Dischord albums.

I enjoy it, but not as much as the earlier June of '44 stuff or the first Shipping News album. Tis good, though.

fair enough, its just a matter of taste. most of my favorites are pretty rhythmic and on the beat, and even though i like the lyrics i have a hard time getting into the whole non-stop style (i have the same problem with a lot of the rza's more recent rapping)

ahhh, me too, but it would be mis-spelled, no? I had him under "Rodin" in my filing cabinet, pronounced "rodan."

i was just listening to the "half cocked" soundtrack the other day. has that song "tron" on it. i always though that those guys (meaning rodan, june of '44, and the like) were the definition of indie rock until it up and turned into death cab for cutie. strange.
